Hugh Fraser Quintet at Jazz Vespers St. Andrew’s Wesley Church 1012 Nelson Street by donation 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday May 31st.The legendary Hugh Fraser Quintet kicks off its summer festival season with a sneak preview of their trade mark high energy and extreme lyricism with Hugh Fraser on piano, Cam Ryga saxes, Bill Runge saxes, Blaine Wikjord drums and Allan Johnston bass.They will feature selections from their latest C.D. release, 'Concerto' on Boathouse Records. With over 1,000 concerts under their belt in over 20 countries, two Juno Awards and two West Coast Music Awards for six c.d. releases, the quintet represented Western Canada at the last P.E.I. - T.D. Jazz festival with P.J.Perry. This will surely be a joyous celebration of sound and thought through reflection and repose with Canada's jazz ambassadors!
